Jess Coleman Raises $200,000 with Public Matching Funds
New York, NY–Democrat Jess Coleman, an attorney and Community Board 1 Member, has raised a total of over $200,000 with matching funds. Jess has raised $42,000 in private funds, and qualifies for $160,000 in public matching funds on the next disbursement date. More than 85% of Jess’s donors are New York City residents, and more than a third are District 1 residents. This strong local support has guaranteed that Jess’s campaign will be fully funded.
"I’m humbled by the outpouring of local support for our campaign,” said attorney Jess Coleman. “Thanks to my devoted neighbors, fellow New Yorkers, close friends, and total strangers, my campaign will receive public matching funds, and is nearly done raising funds altogether. I am grateful for every one of my supporters, and the community leaders organizing with me. My campaign is gaining momentum, and I am excited to continue fighting for affordable housing and safer streets in Lower Manhattan.”
About Jess:
Raised in Battery Park City, Coleman has spent much of his life in service to the Lower Manhattan community. Inspired by his parents, his involvement spans from coaching Downtown Little League to advocating for transportation improvements as the Co-Chair of the Community Board 1 Transportation Committee. As an attorney, Coleman has also fought against powerful interests, representing opioid victims in the Purdue Pharma bankruptcy case.
Jess Coleman currently lives in Tribeca with his wife Jessica, their cat Oliver, and their Boston Terrier Maxie.
